This technical appendix provides additional details about our methodology for estimating the number of people who are uninsured in 2014 after the implementation of health insurance expansions under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA) and for estimating 2014 eligibility for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP). We focused on low-income women aged 18 to 64 years (the eligible age range for cervical cancer screening) or 40 to 64 (the eligible ages for breast cancer screening).
